Analytical chemistry covers the vast array of analytical techniques that can be used to control the quality of the products that are made in the pharmaceutical industry. Additionally, the analytical control is also performed in the middle of the process, as in-process control (IPC).

Process Development - Case Study

This class focused on the practical implementation of the learnings acquired in the previous classes, to case studies selected. Goal is for each group of students to look at a medicinal chemistry route from an open-access peer review journal, and start defining a plan to address the development and scale-up of that chemical process. This is meant to convey the students what is expected from them in the evaluation of the course.
